Aberdeenshire Division

Chief Superintendent Mark McLaren is in charge of the now unified North and South Aberdeenshire Divisions, now merged to become the unified Aberdeenshire Division. This was from 1 April 2008.

From JUne 2009, Inspector Andrew Todd is Banchory's new Police inspector. Inspector Todd has been a resident of Torphins for the last ten years.

The diversity of Aberdeenshire area includes large areas of population to small villages and sparsely populated rural areas.

Aberdeenshire as a whole enjoys relatively low crime levels. The force recognises the importance of strong community links and continue to work with local partners and communities to build on the past successes to reassure our communities with effective policing.
