Torphins on YouTube

The ability of individuals to create personalized video movies of their everyday lives, and share with the wider world has been brought to all by video share sites such as YouTube.

Here I have embedded some of those Youtube postings. These are all individuals either filming in Torphins or the surrounding area.

Do you have a link to a Torphins related video I could feature, then contact me here.
Kirk Watson, who grew up at Torphins, is spending his third winter (2009) in Antarctica guiding scientists over glaciers. Kirk, 32, who lives at Aviemore during his time in Scotland, works as a field assistant in one of the most remote parts of the world, spending up to two years at a time there. This video is a personal profile, also about Torphins, and his view of life within it.

John Strachan, from Stachan, discovered by Henderson, McLean and Lomax at the People's Festival in Edinburgh in 1953. Here he plays the fiddle with a compilation of home movie accompaniment.

Heaven is a halfpipe, the view of Chris and Ron, exhibiting their art at the skateboard ramp in the Torphins Park. Much of it without protective gear, no wimps these guys. With a good choice of music as well.
