In 1899 the impressive grey-stone Learney Hall was built towards the north west end of the village, to mark the golden wedding anniversary of the local laird, Thomas Innes of Learney.

The hall is used on a regular basis for sales, dances, clubs and other activities.
Hall Internal, Bowling Club Annual Sale
The hall is due for a revamp, with an additional extension being added alongside the current Lesser Learney Hall. This will include an additions hall, re-organisation of the toilets and Kitchen facilities, additional staorage areas, and Patio Doors to an external south facing decked seating area. The plans are currently under consideration by the Aberdeenshire and Torphins Community Council.
