Torphins Community Council

The Community Council has for several years represented the interests of local people to the Aberdeenshire Council, governmental and other authourities.

The committee is made up of Aberdeenshire Council and local Members. Local Members are elected by the residents of Torphins every 4 years.

Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend Torphins Community Council meetings.

The Torphins Community Council would like to thank the following organisations and Individuals for their financial assistance and help to provide much welcomed Christmas decorations in the village.

A big thanks to SCOTMID, in particular Laura Paterson for their generous donation which ensured that we had a feature to be proud of positioned on the Clock tower of the Learney Hall.

Grateful thanks to Brian Ness and his staff at the Learney Estate for their gift of the Xmas tree.

Finally a huge "thank you" to Eric Buchan, Nick Edgar, Brian Murray, and Colin Rouse who gave up their free time to assist with erection of the tree, the lights and the other main features, and for their technical assistance in "making things work"
