Path Upgrade

It is the intention to upgrade the path along the old railway line West of Torphins to a 2m width aggregate path (please see this map for the extent of the upgrade)

The upgrade will allow other users to enjoy the path such as families with push chairs; cyclists and the less-abled.

UFO Visits

A Banchory man and his wife have reported seeing a strange object flying over the area on Sunday 26th September 2010. He spotted the orange light in the sky at around 8pm from his home.

He ran outside immediately to attempt to photograph, but was too late in turning it on before the object disappeared. He said

It was massive and orange. it was like a star only much much bigger and appeared a lot closer. It definitely was not a plane , it was a clear night without any cloud in the sky. It was really strange and I was amazed when I saw it, I do not know what it was. I hope somebody has an explanation

UFO Pentland
This object just hung over the Pentland Hills, Hillend, for about a minute.

A few weeks earlier some Polish women, Magda Wasewicz, Monika Lowkiet,Renata Wasewicz and Jwona Fitek spotted an orange object moving quickly in the sky at around 10:30 pm on August 28th 2010. Magda Wasewicz said

I was terrified. I thought they were coming to get us!.
